I love sharing my images as greeting cards, and prints, and showing the beauty of our natural creation, as I see it. I love capturing color, no matter how simple the scene I enjoy shooting everything in nature, and love both the simplicity, and complexity of nature.
I enjoy the 4 seasons so very much…....and feel blessed to live in an area where we have the 4 seasons. I am of Indian decent, and my mother passed down some of my great grandfathers stories. One I will share, as I remember it the most. My mother always told me, “Nature speaks louder than words… Listen to the wind, and even the stone will tell you, the stories of who you are, and where you are going”.
I was born, and raised in Arkansas rolling hills and its vast backwoods. All the while conteplaiting the stories of my great grandfather, and his fathers, father. Nature it seens has always been like a life long friend to me, one I take for granted that will always be there.
I do a bit of editing on some images, now that… I can not get out to shoot….......but when out … I find I love to capture that natural LIGHT, and COLORS of just the simple things in life. I enjoy shooting on those stormy, and/or cloudy spring days…
I love catching that low light peeping from behind a cloud, giving its natural highlights, and natural tweaks. Again, no matter how simple the scene.
Cloud cover, the low setting, or rising sun, and rainy days are my favorits times to shoot. Spring is a very favorite season for me, and fall runs a close race!
A few of my photos will have man made objects, to add a bit of interest or historic value, but in general I try to keep them as natural, and relaxing, and as simple as possible. I rather fancy simple these days! LOL!
Due to health reasons I am no longer able to get out to shoot, but I love going through all my old files, and sharing those as I can here, and I thank God each day I could never delete an image file even the bad ones! LOL!
I know I have images that even I have never seen yet… hehe! :))
When I went out on a shoot, I would come home with hundreds of images, I’m known to fill up to 4 to 5 1GB cards in day, and sometimes more.
So needeless to say at anygiven time I managed to put a few out of each batch on line, the rest went into storage.
Never did I ever realise just how handy this would be in the long run :) Tomorrow, I think I will go hiking in the fall! LOL!
What fun to have so many image to travel back through. So I hope you find something you enjoy!
*Proust once said, “The real voyage of discovery
consist not of seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes”.
Thanks so much for viewing
XOXO Carolyn :)))
